Krusinski Construction Company was hired by Molto Properties and began with the demolition of an existing 103,500-SF brick building and a 3,200-SF metal shed. The state-of-the-art speculative distribution center consists of 135,650 SF of warehouse and office space with 20 expandable docks, two drive-in doors, 152 parking spaces and two detention basins added to protect against flooding. The site work and facility were completed within a six-month period.
Molto Properties acquired the property in Niles, Illinois from MFRI Inc. The facility was originally built in 1954 on an 8-acre land site. The privately held entrepreneurial industrial real estate firm aimed to redevelop the existing site into a 135,650 SF Class A distribution center.
