Oak Brook, Illinois – Krusinski Construction Company has completed another industrial redevelopment project for its repeat client, Dayton Street Partners at 700 Larsen Lane. The project included the major renovation of a (37) door, cross-dock truck terminal within a 3-acre light industrial park in Bensenville, Illinois.
Krusinski revitalized the existing building by completing selective demolition of the facility and enhancing the space with a more efficient and productive layout for future use. The scope included interior and exterior structural improvements, including but not limited to new foundations, helical piers and a new structural slab. It also included the removal and replacement of (37) dock doors and edge of dock levelers, new insulated metal panels and aesthetic office upgrades.
"It was exciting to work with Dayton Street Partners again on another industrial redevelopment project to help expand their portfolio and further strengthen their presence in the Chicago landscape," said Joe Krusinski III, Senior Project Manager.
The original facility was converted to an efficient 33,000-SF terminal with newly installed docks and an attached 2,000-SF, two-story office, suited for immediate tenant occupancy. In addition to the structural improvements, the interior refresh featured two additional ADA-compliant bathrooms, new flooring, paint and MEP upgrades.
Krusinski also completed upgrades to the storm systems, installed new concrete aprons and performed selected paving improvements to increase the facility's capacity.
The project was completed for Dayton Street Partners with support from Space Co, A+M Architects and the City of Bensenville. Strong communication efforts with the client, design team and partners allowed the industrial redevelopment project to go from demolition to move-in ready.
