Interior demolition and new construction of a 25,390-SF dynamic, multi-faceted Research, Development & Innovation Center, creating a new, bright and colorful industrial building for Flavorchem. Flavorchem specializes in the creation and manufacturing of flavor and color solutions for the food, beverage and nutraceutical industries.

The facility features four application centers, test kitchens, a taste test research room, a showroom and new office space. The transformative converted a primarily utilized storage area to a modern and highly-stylized research, development, marketing and sales center for its U.S. corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois. In 2021, the facility was named one of Crain's Chicago's Coolest Offices.

This research, development and innovation center marks the second facility Krusinski Construction has completed for Flavorchem. The first project completed in 2011 which achieved LEED-Silver Certification, included the interior and exterior renovation and building addition for lab, manufacturing and office space.
