This multi-phased, design-build tenant improvement project for ABB Robotics includes extensive upgrades across an existing 525,000-SF robotics facility including an expansion of the manufacturing area, improvements to the employee offices, and the addition of a customer experience area. The phased construction took place in an occupied, active robotics facility involving the following:
Phase 1: Reconfiguration of approximately 230,000 SF of the manufacturing area to improve capacity and internal efficiencies, requiring the demolition of existing walls and mezzanines, new power feeds and a relocation of the spot weld demonstration.
Phase 2: Improvements to 42,769 SF of the East Offices, including an upgrade of finishes and a modernization of the layout and functionality.
Phase 3: Demolition and re-build of a new lobby, café, fitness center, conference rooms, training lab and customer experience center.
Phase 4: Exterior improvements at/surrounding the building entrance.
