OAK BROOK, IL - At Krusinski, we prioritize the health and well-being of all our KRU members. Through our KCCares initiative, we provide a positive work environment in our office, job sites and in our community by fostering a supportive and Caring company culture and atmosphere. In support of World Mental Health Day, KCC offers vital resources for our KRU members and is committed to providing a comfortable and safe working environment.
Emphasizing the importance of mental health, Gina Krusinski, Vice President of Human Resources shares, “World Mental Health Day serves as an important reminder of our shared responsibility to support mental well-being. At Krusinski Construction Company, we recognize that our KRU is our greatest asset. We are dedicated to cultivating a culture that empowers everyone to excel. By offering resources and fostering a supportive, caring environment, we not only enhance engagement but also boost productivity and innovation.”
Mental Health Awareness is an important topic in today’s landscape, especially in the workplace. This year, the World Health Organization is focusing awareness on “Mental Health at Work" and ways to support and provide resources to those who are struggling with their mental health.

Through the Krusinski Family Fund, KCC actively gives back to our community and several organizations throughout the Chicago area. Recently, we participated in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk helping raise over $36,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This cause is particularly dear to us as, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the construction industry has one of the highest suicide rates compared to other industries. As a proud sponsor, KCC is honored to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who are in need the most to challenge the stigma and raise awareness for mental health, not only in the construction industry, but in our community as a whole.
In late February 2025, we will be attending the Construction Working Minds Summit in Dallas, Texas along with one of our Citadel National Construction Group partner companies, Rogers-O’Brien Construction. As a sponsor, we have exclusive access to panels and discussions where we will engage in topics related to well-being, mental health, health and safety priorities for employees, trade workers and the community.
Let’s continue prioritizing mental health and support those in our workplace and in our community. Be mindful and care for those around you. Provide strength and positivity to those in need. Always be supportive and remind those struggling, that they are not alone.
