What advice would you give to a young female aspiring to pursue a career in Construction?
Absorb every bit of information you can from your peers and mentors—from the field staff to office staff—everyone has tips and expertise to help you gain more knowledge in the industry. Over time, your confidence will grow and show through your thought process and work, which will not go unnoticed! Keep working hard, ask questions and grow relationships with your peers and colleagues.
How does Krusinski support and empower you as a female construction professional?
KCC has given me numerous opportunities to excel and expand my career across the construction process by mentoring me through various positions throughout the company. From administration to operations, and even Superintendent, I believe these roles helped me cultivate me as a well-rounded construction professional, understanding the job from preconstruction to ribbon cutting. I am grateful to have held these roles and to continually learn from my fellow KRU members.
When you’re not estimating a job, how do you spend your free time outside of Krusinski?
My free time is spent with my fur-babies! I have three—a tuxedo cat, a devoted German Shepherd and an AQHA Quarter Horse named Frankie. Some weekends are filled with showing Frankie in different events like Showmanship, English Pleasure, English Equitation, Western Pleasure and Horsemanship. He takes up most of my time as a hobby that has turned into a passion! All my fur-babies provide me with a loving and compassionate relationship after a long day at the office.
