IRG Realty Advisors contracted Krusinski Construction to repurpose the vacant 256,000-SF Caterpillar Tractor Company facility into a warehouse with distribution capabilities.
Krusinski Construction Company completed structural and MEP upgrades that were necessary to accommodate present-day operations for IRG. In addition to excavation, masonry and concrete work, our scope included the addition of 25 docks and created a 520-ft depressed dock on the Southeast side of the facility.
Additional renovations included the addition of 16 new recessed dock locations and two (2) motorized drive-in doors on the Northeast side of the facility. The exterior wall features a new brick veneer below a metal panel system, along the length of the new dock area. Site improvements at the East lot include a new dock slab on grade, removal of a guard house, retaining walls on each side of the dock slab on grade and an existing storm water line modification.
This completes the renovation for both the Southeast and Northeast dock installs for IRG at this facility, both completed by Krusinski Construction Company.
